We’ve broken down some of the most commonly asked questions in regards to barre fitness and our online platform.
Barre Base Anywhere has crafted on-demand classes for busy working parents, shift workers, or those who wish to work out in the comfort of their own home. It's our goal to encourage people to move with strength and freedom – both physically, and beyond. This has been a huge success so far, with customers joining us from all corners of the world. We run a Facebook group to stay connected, and to encourage members to help us shape our video roadmap.
As noted, our members are from all walks of life. This results in a diverse and strong community of people with one goal in common – to feel good!
All the time! Each week, we upload a new class called "Class of the Week." This class is usually 30-45 minutes, and is part of our weekly movement guide. We also run challenges regularly, which are often 7-14 days. These workouts are always new and fresh, and an inpiring way to stay motivated from home.
Barre classes are a style of Pilates. At Barre Base, we blend elements of yoga, pilates and strength training. Our library offers a mixture of classes for all levels.
Gentle Barre and Strength & Freedom are great if you are new to barre fitness. Barre Burn is more intermediate, but still low impact. Barre Breakdown is our most intense barre workout in the series!

Each series offers a clear description of what to expect, as well as what props you might need for the class.
Stretch and Lengthen is the series for you! If you have massage balls (or a tennis ball), you will love our Roll & Release series. We sell the massage balls that I use in the videos, so feel free to purchase these. They are amazing.
You can cancel at any time via your Dashboard. Search Dashboard > Billing. You can sign back up too at any time if you miss us.
Typically, barre workouts are fiery strength-based workouts that focus on moving with strength, length and grace. The big misconception is that they're a dance class – instead, the classes focus on body-weight strengthening exercises that dancers would do to gain better strength. This concept has been transformed into the fitness world and has empowered non-dancers to gain the benefits of this practice too. The barre allows us to feel more stable and in control, while working toward moving with good posture and alignment.
Barre Base Anywhere is a self-managed system. You can sign up and cancel at any time! You will be billed $30NZD monthly, and you will be made aware of when the month is about to tick over again via email. At this point, you can choose whether you wish to continue on using the platform or cancel.
Barre Base Anywhere offers new clients a 7-day free trial. This gives you a chance to try out some of our on-demand videos, or even join us on a free Zoom class.
You must enter your credit card information to access the 7-day free trial, but if you choose to cancel before the 7-days, you will not be charged. Unfortunately the system we use requires a credit card to be inputted to try out our classes. If you decide to continue on with us, you will be charged $30NZD monthly.
Absolutely yes. Barre Base Anywhere offers different classes to cater to beginners, to those who are really looking to be challenged. Barre is a low-impact exercise but truly packs a punch. We have members from all walks of life – busy mums, musicians, rugby players (men and women), to older clients who want to maintain their youthful energy and strength.
Yes! You can manage and update your credit card details at any stage. This can all be managed via your Dashboard.
